6th year of Best Employers study – Softec holds 2nd place in the ICT segment

Recently, the "Best Employers Slovensko 2009/2010" awards were announced. It is a survey of employees' motivation, in which the best employers in the Slovak Republic are ranked annually by the HR consultancy company Hewitt Associates.

The number of companies participating increased this year. Alongside 43 companies from different sectors, ranging from information technologies to the pharmaceutical industry, manufacturing to logistics, SOFTEC was rated as the 14th best employer in Slovakia. Among strong competition in the ICT segment (information and communication technologies), SOFTEC achieved an admirable 2nd place behind Microsoft Slovakia, which received a 3rd place overall rating.

Softec participates in employee motivation surveys regularly; in 2007 Softec placed 12th and came in 4th in 2005.

According to the Best Employers study, the percentage of motivated employees is declining again this year; in comparison to pre-crisis measurement which put long-term employee motivation at 52%, the current level of motivated employees in Slovakia has dropped to 47%.

Softec is the lead member company of the Softec Group, which currently employs 200 employees and counting. Softec uses standard channels to search for new employees together with various standardized selection methods. Besides the necessary specialized skills, great importance is also put on candidates' ability to fully integrate into specific teams in the company, to ensure the highest possible probability of their successful long-term participation in demanding IT projects.
